Impossible Ceiling

This ceiling was designed to bring a sense of order and quiet sophistication to the space, achieved through meticulous detail and exacting precision. We crafted it from solid rift white oak, finished with two built-up layers of Rubio Monocoat and set over fabric-wrapped Baltic birch panels for a depth and warmth that draws the eye upward. Bringing it all together required extraordinary coordination—every framing decision, electrical placement, and fire sprinkler location was planned to preserve the flawless pattern overhead. The result is a ceiling our client found truly impressive, a testament to craftsmanship where nothing is left to chance.
